I’m Abbey, and I’ve been right where you are.
I started sewing 20 years ago when my daughter was a baby. At the time, I knew absolutely nothing about sewing.
Here’s the truth: I didn’t have social media tutorials, sewing classes, or step-by-step guidance. Just my grandmother, a manual, and a whole lot of trial and error. It was overwhelming, lonely, and sometimes frustrating. But I kept going—and little by little, I grew into a confident sewist who can now make just about anything I set my mind to.
For me, sewing has always been more than just fabric and thread. It’s been a way to fill my cup, to feel accomplished, and to show my love through handmade pieces.
Now, after 20 years of sewing and 20 years as an educator and coach, I’ve combined my two passions: helping moms and grandmas learn to sew with clarity, confidence, and encouragement.
