Just $27

Short lessons. Simple instructions. Your first stitches are closer than you think.

Does any of this sound familiar?

You'd love to learn how to sew.

Maybe you dream of making little dresses for your granddaughter, sewing gifts for the people you love, or simply having a creative hobby that's just for you.

There's just one little problem.

You have absolutely no idea where to start.

You look at your sewing machine and see a whole lot of buttons, knobs, and mysterious little parts.

You've watched a few YouTube videos, but somehow the person teaching assumes you already know half the things they're talking about.

And don't even get me started on the instruction manual.

You just want someone to sit down beside you and say, "Okay, here's what we're going to do first."

That's exactly why I created Your First Stitch.

Because learning to sew shouldn't require you to figure everything out on your own.

What if you could actually feel comfortable sitting down at your sewing machine?

Imagine knowing what those buttons and knobs do.

Knowing how to change your needle.

Winding a bobbin without wondering if you're doing it right.

Threading your machine without watching the same YouTube video seventeen times.

And then...

Sewing your very first stitches.

Not just watching someone else do it.

YOU.

That's what we're going to do together.

And we're going to keep it simple.

Here's what you'll learn inside Your First Stitch

Five short, beginner-friendly video lessons, most around 10 minutes or less, that walk you through the basics without overwhelming you.

Lesson 1: Meet Your Machine

Let's take the mystery out of your sewing machine.

I'll show you the different parts, what they do, and how they work together.

By the end of this lesson, your machine should start looking a whole lot less intimidating.

Lesson 2: Let's Talk Needles

Yes, there are different sewing machine needles. And yes, it actually matters which one you use.

We'll cover the basics of sewing machine needles and how to safely remove and insert one.

Lesson 3: Bobbin Basics

Ah, the bobbin.

That tiny little thing that somehow causes so much confusion.

I'll show you how to wind a bobbin, insert it into your machine, and remove it when needed.

No guessing required.

Lesson 4: Thread It Up!

It's time to thread that sewing machine!

I'll walk you through the threading process step by step so you can get your machine ready to sew.

Lesson 5: Your First Stitches!

This is where it all comes together!

You'll learn how to sew a straight stitch and finally put that sewing machine to work.

And when you finish?

You'll be able to say something pretty exciting.

"I actually did it. I can sew!"

You'll also get your very own sewing machine companion eBook!

Sometimes you don't want to rewatch an entire video just to remember how to do one little thing.

I get it.

That's why I've included a companion eBook with helpful information and resources that go right along with your lessons.

Keep it handy while you're learning, and come back to it whenever you need a reminder.

Think of it as your little sewing machine cheat sheet.

Except you're allowed to use it. 😉

And because sewing machines occasionally have minds of their own...

BONUS: Sewing Machine SOS

Let's be clear about something.

At some point, your sewing machine is probably going to do something weird.

Thread will bunch up.

Stitches won't look quite right.

Or something will happen that makes you question every decision you've made that day.

Welcome to sewing. 😉

That's why I'm including a bonus troubleshooting lesson to help you work through common beginner sewing machine problems.

Because a little hiccup shouldn't be the reason you give up.

Hi, I'm Abbey!

I'm a sewist, an educator, and a grandma who loves making things for the little people in my life.

And one of my favorite things is helping women realize they're capable of learning something they never thought they could do.

As an educator, I know how important it is to start with the basics and build confidence one skill at a time.

Because nobody learns well when they're overwhelmed.

And nobody should feel silly for asking what a bobbin is.

We all started somewhere.

I created Your First Stitch because I want you to experience that moment when something that once felt intimidating suddenly makes sense.

You don't need to be naturally crafty.

You don't need years of experience.

You just need a sewing machine, a little willingness to try, and someone to show you where to start.

I'd love to be that person for you.

Ready to finally learn how to use that sewing machine?

You don't have to keep putting it off.

You don't have to watch another seventeen random tutorials and hope you can piece everything together.

And you definitely don't need to know how to sew before you learn how to sew.

That's kind of the whole point.

Here's everything you'll get:

  • 5 step-by-step video lessons that take you from learning your machine to sewing your first stitches

  • BONUS troubleshooting lesson to help when things don't go according to plan

  • Your First Stitch companion eBook with helpful resources and reminders

  • Beginner-friendly instruction from an educator who remembers what it's like to start at the beginning

All for just $27.

One small investment. One exciting first step toward learning to sew.

A few questions you might have...

That little sewing machine has a lot of possibilities.
